HELLO.

Born and raised near Munich, surrounded by lakes and mountains, my connection to the outsides has been influencing my way of looking at things from the beginning. Light situations and moments have been making me want to capture them for everyone else to see. Missing these glimpses of time, lost forever, not being able to show them around, has always made nervous. It was just a logic conclusion when I got my first camera at 8 and haven’t put it aside ever since.

Luckily Munich’s photography school - the oldest on the planet, founded in the year 1900 - was just around the corner and I got my BA degree in 2009. Ever since photography has turned into a serious life concept for me, several episodes have taken me to long-term stays in Los Angeles, China and New Zealand, among others, where I was challenged with new working conditions, met unique characters and faced different light situations.

It has been a long way from photographing my friends at the playground’s slide to capturing portraits of people like Will Smith, Cher and David Hasselhoff, cooperating with agencies like Scholz and Friends, clients such as Sony Music and Telekom and working at far away places like Aitutaki and Xing Ping. But my way of ‘feeling it’ when the perfect moment comes along has never changed.
