“Rainbow Refugees Stories tells the stories of 27 LGBT* refugees who are persecuted in their home countries because of their sexual orientation or identity. The majority of them are waiting to be informed whether they are allowed to stay in Germany or have to return to where they meet with rejection. Their lives are shaped by experiences of violence, oppression and disappointment, but also by hope, new encounters and new beginnings.

Together with photographers and journalists, the mentoring programme of the Presseclub München e.V., and the mentors of Rainbow Refugees Munich the project aims to provide the refugees with an opportunity to tell their stories and to have their say in a society where they are otherwise rarely heard.” READ MORE

Facetime sessions.

COVID has forced most of us to stay home, away from family, friends, work and creative output for an undefined amount of time. After a couple of weeks I felt the strong urge to create again and immediately decided to make use of available technologies to photograph without traveling anywhere. During the first worldwide big lockdown in spring 2020 all kinds of creatives, artists, actors, musicians, models and comedians from all over the world created FaceTime photos together with me, capturing spontaneous moments, every day life but also planned, modeled set ups and staged scenes.
